We did this hike as a shuttle, leaving one car at the PCT trailhead on Brush Mountain Rd at the south end, and the other at the north end at the Pederson Snopark right on Dead Indian Rd. Along this hike is where the PCT turns from being a West-East trail as it has been through the Siskiyous, to turning North once again and starting to head up into the Cascade range. A wide range of landscapes to see, and one of the last times to see Mt. Shasta heading north.
Access: From Ashland, head out Dead Indian Memorial Rd to just past the Lily Glen Equestrian Park, and take a right on Keno Access Rd. Take a left on Brush Mountain Rd, an easy gravel road. The PCT trailhead is just up this road.
