Gold and red in the Fall season adorn this exquisite hike to the lake in the cliff, in the Seven Lakes Basin of Sky Lakes Wilderness. A long but worthwhile hike that quickly became one of our favorites.
Access: Head out Dead Indian Memorial Rd from Ashland all the way to Lake of the Woods, then take a right onto Highway 140 east toward Klamath Falls. Look for the Rocky Point / Westside Road sign and turn left there off the highway. Follow this road north, where it eventually veers to the right (east) turning into Sevenmile Road. Right at that point you can turn up Forest Rd 3100 and follow it north until it meets Nicholson Rd. Turn left there onto Forest Rd 3134, and follow this road up to the trailhead.
